Partnering with Springpod has enabled EDF to reach a much broader and more diverse audience of young people, including students who may not otherwise have access to traditional work experience opportunities.
Partnering with Springpod has been a very enriching experience. It allowed us to combine our publishing expertise with their digital platform to create an accessible, scalable route into the world of academic and educational publishing.
The programme has provided learners with a consistent and supportive introduction to careers in various industries, helping to build confidence, develop employability skills and prepare them for future placements and employment
Reaching learners at this scale is hugely valuable to us, not only in raising awareness of the breadth of opportunities available, but in helping to inspire a more diverse and informed future workforce for forestry.
With an average of 91% of participants across our two programmes gaining a better awareness of these sectors through the programmes, we are building a stronger pipeline of future talent and helping to shape the next generation of young professionals.
The programme has been an excellent way to engage early talent, showcase the diverse opportunities available, and help students build the confidence and skills they need for their future careers.
One of the biggest benefits of our Springpod virtual platform is its ability to connect us with the communities we serve. It means our work experience programme isn't limited by geography or team capacity, so we can provide more opportunities than ever before.
Beyond supporting our early careers pipeline, Springpod has helped us create meaningful social value by providing young people with accessible career insights, experiences, and opportunities they may not otherwise have encountered.
Just as important is who we're reaching, over 300 of the young people on the programme are already NEET, and we know from the wider picture that's likely only a fraction of those who genuinely need this kind of support. Being able to reach the people who need it most, not just the ones who'd have found their way anyway, is what makes this partnership feel different to us.
